Unexpectedly, the revenge makes Pegasus Market rises to stardom!

Genre?

Comedy, Inspiring, Heartfelt

Should you watch it?

Short answer. Yes! I’ll give the overall rating of 8.5/10.

But, if you want a longer answer. Here we go!
I would recommend you to watch it till episode 8. From episodes 1 to 8, I will give them a rating of 10 out of 10. It was so enjoyable. One of the best comedy & inspiring Kdrama series that I watch recently. The way they bring out the comedy is so good. I love them so much. Simple and classic. If you like classic Kdrama comedy, you will love this one. And the peak at Episode 8 is wonderful.
But, starting from episode 9. If you still want to continue watching, prepare to lower your standard. And watch it for the sake of the ending. Don’t hope too much, and you’ll not be that disappointed.
I’m surprised, this series is not that popular!

My personal take on the series
(may contain spoilers!)

What’s good?

- Comedy God. Innovative, simple, and classic. The elements inside the story for creating the comedy are amazing! Love them! (it’ll be too long if I mention them one by one)
- Makes you laugh and cry at the same time! It’s amazing really! It’ll entertain while inspiring you to become a better person. Your mood will improve for the day!
- No toxicity in the love relationship.
- Most of the characters are lovable. Well done.
- The build-up for the reveal of the dead mother was top-notch. I cried a bucket in that episode. Plus, because all the scenes of the manager with his mom in the previous episode felt so sweet and nice was the cherry on top. Usually, memories of the past ones are very sweet. Amazing detail.

Improvements on the story?

- They planned the series well till Ep.8. The problem is after Ep.8 masterpiece. I have a high expectation for the rest of the series. And they followed up with one of the worst short story filler of the series at the start of Ep.9. My hope’s crushed! Remove some of the unimportant filler short stories that might be better. Qualities over quantities. And some planning on the key moment of the series towards the ending might help a lot.
- Too much repetitive comedy idea. If you used it once, the idea is amazing. It feels fresh and caught us off guard. but, if you use it repetitively some comedy idea is bad. unfortunately, the comedy type in this series is in this category. Surprise factors play a key role in the series.
- The story arc of the new romantic opponent for the manager is too short. Too bad, because that’s a lot of interesting things that can be done there for the series duration. (exchange them with some of the bad ideas)
- Some bad ideas that need adjustment.
Discount man and his elusiveness idea
Most of the idea in the series works because it’s practical. And it has the “it might work in real life” vibe. But, this one feels cringe and a “no-no”
Detention of Bbaya tribe
The idea is good. Starts nicely. until suddenly they got detained because of physical abuse. The build-up to the punishment of detainment is not enough. And it doesn’t look like enough to get that harsh punishment. Plus, the bad guy get’s all the glory at the end of the story (Lots of money and got their revenge, even though they steal things to start the story). Doesn’t feel good for the viewer.
Ghost Dad
A sudden supernatural storyline was introduced. It felt out of place from the rest of the series. When the punchline of ghost dad got employee of the month, it’s just felt ridiculous.
- The DM group’s owner (Kim Dae Ma) character seemed ambiguous. Sometimes looked dumb, sometimes reliable, or should I say a bit too complex in this kind of series. Too much layer is revealed in the character throughout the story as a side character. I would suggest, he stuck with his grandson loving grandpa throughout the series and just gave him 1 character arc. That makes him more responsible without making his other executives take all the blame.
- Some scenes felt awkward but acceptable for example The Pegasus first cultural musical event.

I want to say thank you to the creator to makes this amazing series for us to watch. For readers that haven’t watched it yet, you might want to give it a try. Thanks for reading my review. Have a nice day, folks!
